i've used the revlon and like it a lot better than expensive brands like lancome. not sure about chemicals, but it comes off pretty easy and doesn't crust. i also like smashbox liner. it comes in a pot you apply with a brush. a little less harsh looking than liquid.Revlon colorstay liquid liner VS Maybelline ultra liner liquid eyeliner!?

I don't know about the chemical thing, but I like the Maybelline liquid eyeliner the best. They are both easy to get off at the end of the day with the right soap. Try something from Neutrogena.
